My children love to tell the story "The Tallest Animal in the Woods" that comes with this set. They don't even bother with a felt board, they just make use of a flat surface. I have read the story several times to my daughter, and now she tells it to me from memory. She doesn't have it memorized word for word, but she does hit the high points. Both of my children have the most fun with this set when we do it together. The one on one interaction with me during the storytelling with these felt figures is one of the reasons why they love it so much. I encourage all parents to take time with their children and make this a family activity.

This set was created to go along with one of your children's favorite books Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?. (Book not included) The outdoor background, or felt board, from our GRANDMA'S FAVORITES felt board set works great with this, or you can use a plain felt board.
