Creative Play With Felt Boards and Figures
How do we promote creative play?  Why promote creative play?  Children who are encouraged to be creative are learning useful skills for their future.  Creativity promotes independent thinking in the future.  My son is a very literal thinker.  This is common for a lot of children who have autism.  It is also extremely difficult for a parent to teach their child creativity.  STF sets allow us to work one-on-one with our child and develop this skill.  The following are just a few felt sets that can be used to help promote creative play with our child/children.

Table Top Town

This 35" x 35" octagon can sit on the table or the floor.  Eight scenes create activities for several children to play at the same time.  The center rotates to give a variety of skill enhancing activities;  matching shapes, taking measurements, counting, and finding the alphabet that is hidden in the picture.  It's a learning center that includes fun!
