Emotions

by Tammy Lessick

I feel happy, sad and angry just like everyone else does.

I feel my emotions, but sometimes do not show it on my face.

I look at another person, and have trouble telling when they are happy, sad or angry.

I need to know what another person is feeling so that I know how to respond.

When I see a smile on another person’s face,

I know that person is happy.

I can smile back to show that I am happy too.

I can play and have fun with another person who is happy.

When I see another person frown,

I know they are sad.

I can say or do something to make them feel better.

I can give a friend or family member a hug when they are sad.

Hugs can make a friend or family member feel better.

When I see their mouth pressed together into a line,

I know they are mad.

I can ask “Did I do anything to make you mad?”

If that person says I did, I can say “I’m sorry” and try not to do it again.

Let's Play House     Your little ones will have hours of fun playing house with all kinds of new friends and accessories. Clean My Room

by Tammy Lessick

It is my job to keep my bedroom clean.

The first thing I need to do to clean my room,

Is pick up my dirty clothes and put them in the clothes basket.

My dirty clothes need to be in the clothes basket so mommy can wash them.

The second thing I need to do to clean my room,

Is pick up my toys and put them away in my toy box.

I need to put them in my toy box so I can find them next time I want to play with toys.

The third thing I need to do to clean my room,

Is put my books back on the book shelf.

I need to put them on the book shelf so I can find them next time I read.

The last thing I need to do to clean my room,

Is make my bed.

Mommy helps me make my bed, so I need to get mommy when I am ready to make my bed.

My bed needs to be made so that I can go to sleep in a bed that is neat and comfortable.

TIME TO EAT

I eat dinner with my family.

We usually eat together at the table.

Everybody has their own plate of food.

I have a plate.

Mommy has a plate.

Daddy has a plate.

Everybody eats their own food.

Everybody feeds themselves.

Mommy feeds herself.

Daddy feeds himself.

I will try to feed myself.

Sometimes I can use a fork or spoon to feed myself.

Sometimes I can use my fingers to feed myself.

I will try to use a fork, spoon or my fingers to feed myself.

If I feed myself Mommy will be happy.

If I feed myself I will probably feel very proud.
